Pierre-Alain Clivaz brings a wealth of experience from the aviation industry to the world of coaching and mentoring. With an illustrious career spanning over four decades, he has seamlessly transitioned from piloting high-performance aircraft to guiding individuals and teams toward excellence in leadership, communication, and personal growth.
Professional Journey
Pierre-Alain served as an Airline Pilot and Captain with Swiss International Airlines (2002–2021), where he also played a crucial role as an Instructor and Expert for the Federal Office of Civil Aviation. His expertise extended to Crew Resource Management (CRM) training, ensuring that teams operated efficiently, communicated effectively, and handled high pressure situations with composure.
Before his commercial aviation career, he was a fighter pilot and instructor in the Swiss Air Force (1981–2000), mastering high stakes decision-making, discipline, and leadership.
Coaching & Training Expertise
Pierre-Alain’s transition into coaching began in 2003 at the International Coaching Institute in Geneva. His commitment to continuous learning led him to study Harvard Negotiation techniques in Paris (2004), equipping him with advanced skills in conflict resolution and interpersonal communication.
His background in Human Aspect Development (HAD) CRM training (1995 & 2009) further refined his ability to cultivate teamwork, leadership, and strategic thinking.
